The NFL is getting serious about getting rid of its iconic black helmet and is hoping to get a new one for the 2018 season.
NFL officials made the announcement Monday at a press conference in New York.
“It’s a matter of time,” NFL Vice President of Marketing and Merchandising John Mara said.
“There are going to be a number of factors that are going into this decision, but the fact is that it is something that we’re considering.”
The NFL said it will begin discussions with a number other teams in January and February to find the right helmet, with a final decision to be made by the end of the year.
Mara said the league wants to make sure the new helmet fits the game, but not too big, because it’s not designed to take a beating.
The helmet, which has become synonymous with the NFL, was first introduced in 1971.
It has undergone some changes over the years, including the addition of padding, but was still used to protect players from head injuries during games.
The NFL has a history of making safety changes, from the use of force pads in the 1980s to the use by NFL players of protective helmets in the 1990s.
The league has also taken a stance on the safety of the helmet itself, which was originally designed to protect against concussions, not concussion symptoms.
The most recent NFL season began on Sept. 12, and the league announced it would not use force pads for the first time since 2000.
The first wave of helmets was introduced in 2011.
The new helmets, which are also designed to reduce wear and tear on the player’s head, will replace those worn in the past.
“The helmet is a piece of equipment that is very durable and very safe,” Mara said, “but it’s also a piece that is also very flexible and can take hits.
A new helmet is expected to cost $3,200 to $4,400, which is more expensive than previous versions, but will have a similar look and feel. “
So, in terms of the current design of the helmets, we’ve made a decision to replace the old helmet with something that is more flexible and durable.”
A new helmet is expected to cost $3,200 to $4,400, which is more expensive than previous versions, but will have a similar look and feel.
It will have new padded foam padding that has a layer of moisture-wicking material between the helmet and the neck, and will have vents on both sides of the face that can help keep out the coldest elements of the air.
The pads will be a mixture of cotton and synthetic, with the majority of the padding coming from an elastic material.
The helmets will be manufactured in China, and they will be worn by players from the age of 19 to 30.
The New York Giants have a history with helmets and have worn the new helmets on multiple occasions.
In the past, they have worn a helmet with the number “20” on the side and the number of the team in the upper left corner, but that’s no longer the case.
The Giants said they decided to go with a design that was closer to the numbers they wear on their jerseys, which have been worn since they were created in 1984.
The number “16” was originally the number worn by the New York Jets in 1967.
They have worn helmets in other cities, including Seattle, but never before in the NFL.
