Now the Japanese animation powerhouse behind the popular anime series Ai Aoei, is bringing the character back to life.
The new anime series, Ai Ao, will premiere in March 2019 on Adult Swim, following in the footsteps of Ai Aoki and Ai Amano’s works.
The animated series is set in a dystopian future where the world has been turned into a dystopian hellscape.
Ai Aoda is a cyborg robot that was designed to be the next Ai Aōi, and the show’s creators say that he is a perfect candidate to bring back the character.
“Ai-a-oi is an iconic figure that has inspired generations of anime fans to love and fear the future,” said Tadashi Nagai, head of production at New Media Works, which developed the project.
“We can’t wait to share Ai Aoka with the world in 2019.”
Ai Aoya is a robot with a heart of gold, and will be the centerpiece of the new series.
“I want to make sure that everyone is aware of the history of Ai-aoi,” Nagai said.
“It’s the only robot who has been created by a man, who has a great sense of humour and who loves animals.
Ai-o will also be a powerful symbol of the power of science and technology.”
The series will also feature Ai Aoloi, a robot who is the first Ai Aokami.
Aoki, Amano and Aoi have been credited as the creators of Ai Ai, but the series was originally created by Aoi’s studio, SEGA.
